The Peru Rail Vistadome, which was my choice, departs from Poroy, a suburb of Cuzco. My host arranged for a pick-up and drop off, checked me out and back in, and stored my luggage for the time I was away. My car was packed with people from Brazil, who seem to have the wherewithal to travel, nowadays, and can be found all over South America. I shared my table with three young women from Brazil. |

A delicous snack was included. |

There was a lot of construction along part of the way, because Peru is building a road that will connect Cuzco to the Sacred Valley. |

But there were plenty of beautiful views along the way as well. |

At one point I alerted everyone to a rock slide that I saw up ahead. Unfortunately, this lovely sunny day also gave me fits, because of all of the reflections in the windows. |

This is not a road I would be happy to travel on. These rocks seem suspended throughout the whole mountain and many keep going on into the river |
